Pay it Forward
Jacky has found this PIF thingy!!
Here's the plan....
It looks like it will be quite fun. I like making things for other people and I think in a year I can manage to do this! As an added bonus I noticed it didn't specify a Knit Item so we can be really creative .............The guidelines:"I will send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I don’t know what that gift will be yet and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog."Want to participate? Be one of the first 3 people to leave a comment on this post and make the same promise on your own blog. I'll send a message to the first three comment posters, to get mailing addresses ;)

UGH!
I can't believe how long it has been since I posted. Time is just running about. Had a lovely trip to Dublin and also a trip down to my home town on the Kent coast. Unfortunately everyone was ill during the latter! Have made a good start on my Christmas stitching but need to have a big push now to get on schedule. Also need to make a start on a wedding sampler after Christmas.

I've been tagged!
Apparently I've been tagged by Jacky
The rules are:Once you've been tagged you have to write a blog with 10 weird or random things, facts or habits about yourself. At the end you choose ten people to be tagged, list their names, and why you chose them. Don't forget to leave a comment that says "you've been tagged!" on their profile and tell them to read your latest blog. I'll probably do it all wrong ;) Here goes...
1. I love lighthouses
2. I need to go to Spitzbergen
3. I have been a mermaid and a bus conductor on carnival floats
4. However bad I feel, my grandchildren make me laugh
5. I was born on leap year day
6. I have more craft supplies than the average shop
7. I love crafts that recycle
8. I want to see Alaska
9. I have seen the space shuttle launch twice
10. I don't know anyone else (apart from Jacky) who has a blog!!

Sponosored knit/crochet
So far we have raised over £700. Will post pics when blankets are made up. A big thank you to everyone who took part.
Don't speak too soon but....
Events last week have spurred me on to get this stitching done. Hopefully I will be finished this evening and delivered tomorrow evening. I have maybe three hours left to do. The poor lady I am doing it for has been so understanding but the time has come now that it needs to be completed. I havent posted for a while. I did have a few days at home which is always a tonic. When I look at photos like these, I wonder why I ever left.
Will post with pic if all goes to plan with stitching..

Dear oh dear!!
Well I really havent done well keeping up with this!!! I blame it on the new job, birthday, trip to London, toothache and generally a busy few weeks. I cant believe how long it is since I posted though. The stitching is going ok and got a few hours done on it this week. I have almost finished the 6th figure (8 in total). I did do a little pair of premmie booties and wanting to watch something on tv and not wanting to find a pattern etc, I started a granny square style blanket with scraps. Hopefully will get at least an hour stitching tonight and hopefully finish no 6. Will keep you posted!

Last few days have keep me busy. Sky + mended but laptop waiting to be seen by insurance assessor. After last rescue attempt, none of the keyboard works!
Crafts have slipped by the wayside, but I am not going to beat myself up, will see what I can accomplish tomorrow. I have 2 free days now...last time in the week as start new job next week. Here's hopefully for a couple of productive days..

Blown away
Terrible gales here, trees down all over the place and snow forecast for Sunday night. Laptop still poorly and back in the airing cupboard! I did get an hour's stitching done last night and see if I can get a bit more done tonight. I have to watch as much tv as possible tonight (really!) and new sky plus box coming tomorrow so need to watch stuff on old one. That should be good to stitch too, though a have a problem with some ribbon knitting yarn that is calling to me, need to keep that out of sight!!

one step foward, two steps back!
Well had a very busy, but not very productive couple of days. Maybe I will get something done tonight?? If not tomorrow night is looking promising. I have printed out a sweater pattern from Bev's site that I want to try. Laptop has been cleaned with some special foam and is drying.

ok, we have lift off
I have made a start tonight. I managed to get 2 1/2 hours stitching time. I feel better for that and may even do a bit of knitting too....
About me!!
As I mentioned, I have been crafting all my life, just about. I knit, crochet, cross stitch, make cards and have had a go at most crafts at one time or another. I live in the north of England but was born and grew up on the south east coast in Kent. I am married with 2 sons, 1 grandson and 1 grand daughter. A neurotic dog and an obnoxious cat are also resident members of the household.
Plans
I am starting a part time job in a couple of weeks and would like to get a few things done by then. I have a knitted dog coat and junper for my grand daughter to finish. I would also like to get as much as I can done of some stitching I am doing for someone. I am sure that if I am posting what I am doing, guilt will get the better of me!!!
From small beginnings
Hello and welcome to my blog. I have been crafting in one shape or form all my life. I wanted to try and give some structure and organisation to my crafting (and my life in general), so though the new year was a good time. Maybe if I have somewhere to log what I am doing and want to do, I will be able to organise myself a bit better. First of all, I have joined Bev's charity challenge for this year and have pledged to make 52 items for charity this year. I know it isnt a lot, but it is a figure that I know I can achieve. I figured one a week is something I can keep up with fairly well,
So my first effort is 2 hats and a scarf, so far so good.
